Red Line is a 4-foot by 8-foot painting installed in the Bethesda Metro pedestrian tunnel — the underground passageway between the Metro station and Bethesda Avenue — as part of the juried Tunnel Vision exhibition. The piece was selected from roughly 200 submissions in 2012. The exhibition itself won an International Downtown Association Downtown Merit Award.
The painting is still on view; the tunnel is open to the public, twenty-four hours, seven days a week. The Metro station entrance is the address that probably matters most.
